Permies The world’s largest Permaculture website! A forum design with every possible Permaculture topic discussed.

Green living and sustainability

The Greening of Gavin tracks the journey of a regular Australian bloke into sustainable living for his family. Thought-provoking discussion and green cheese.

Under the Choko Tree Sustainable living in the suburbs of Western Sydney. Features loads of useful ‘how-to’ guides and articles. Well worth a visit.

unisun  The best off grid solar equipment money can buy. You will be surprised by the price. I was lucky enough to be taught about solar by the owner Chris on a permaculture course.

Organic farming

Eliot Coleman’s Four Season Farm. An experimental market garden in Harborside, Maine, USA. A nationally recognized model of small-scale sustainable agriculture.

Joel Salatin’s Polyface Farm is a family owned, multi-generational, pasture-based, beyond organic, local-market farm and informational outreach in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

All-Sun Farm a small-scale farm based in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. Excellent market garden online tool shop.

The Permaculture Blog by Paul Wheaton (owner of Permies.com) Weekly opinion, and interviews on a variety of Permaculture topics. My favourite part of the week!

Gardening supplies

These are just a few places around where you can buy great gardening tools and other products. Most of these sites also offer great resources to the grower such as planting information and guides.

Digadoo – Very well made hand tools.

Gundaroo Tiller – Lots of specialist hand tools, market garden gear and lots of resources.

Johnny’s Selected Seeds – This is a US shop but will ship to Australia. Absolutely everything the for the gardener to the small farmer. Lots of great resources too.
